What do you do for students who have crummy internet, so can't load the larger files that the animations cause.

Yes Christina, I have this within my google drive. I color code my files and I have an icon! I usually color code the folder I use the most frequently. Then I go back at the end of the year and decide if I need to delete the other ones.

How do you create “breakout” rooms for students in Google Meets?

My school district is currently beta testing the Google Meets additions (background blur, breakout groups, polling, etc.) and all of them seem to work very similarly to Zoom, if it is easier for some teachers to transition to a Google-based program and your district allows.

A lot of districts prevent you from making a demo student or joining from any email outside the district domain.

I have used other teachers' emails to test Google Classroom as a student before.

Andrea, to create a "demo student" in APS you have to use your APS email, so how as a teacher with an APS email use a different email. I can use my gmail?

You can put the assignments in by topic and use the week dates for the topic

@Deanna, it is an extension that was recently added to google meet. Some districts do not purchase this technology-my district is one of them :(

In google meets if a student logs in late they cannot enter the break. out rooms.

In Google Classroom - Also make sure to use Topics and tell them to ignore the Stream for assignments and just go to the Classwork so they are not too overwhelmed from that first "page"

Quizizz sometimes has issues with Smartboards and presenting the game progress on the main screen if you plan on doing in-class live quizzes.

Users need to accept Google breakout invites.
